The Life She Deserves

I have earned silence that doesn’t ache,
and peace that doesn’t demand I pay for it in pain.
I deserve mornings that don’t start with dread, and nights that don’t end in unraveling.
I want softness
not as surrender, but as a crown.
I deserve laughter that fills the room and love that doesn’t ask me to shrink.
I deserve a life where I don’t flinch at kindness,
Where I don’t mistake calm for danger, or safety for a setup.
I want space
to breathe, to bloom, to speak without apology.
I want warmth, not because I’ve suffered, but because I’m worthy.
I am done with earning love through endurance.
I am done with begging joy to stay.
This life,
this one I’m building now;
is mine.
I won’t water it down to make anyone else comfortable,
I deserve all of it.
I deserve
sunrises that doesn’t trigger memory.
I deserve
every gentle thing I once called weak.
I deserve
every ounce of good I once thought belonged to someone else.
This is not a hope. This is not a wish.
It’s a reclamation.
