Soft Rebuild

Please be patient with me.
I am picking up the pieces of a story I didn’t ask to break.
Some days, I hold them like glass
sharp with memory, glinting with what might’ve been.
Other days, I set them down because they’re too heavy to carry and I’m learning that's okay, too.
I am relearning how to play again,
to laugh without flinching, to move without fear that joy might shatter.
This is not weakness.
This is the rebuild.
Slow. Soft. Sacred.
So if you see me hesitate before I speak, before I trust, before I smile
just know;
I am still becoming and
I am not done yet.
